Hey guys, I want to lift my X about 2 inches in the front and back. 1. To eliminate the rear end sag a bit, and 2. To be able to throw some BFG All-terrains, (31's maybe 32's) on it. How should I go about doing this? Adda leaf's in the back and twist the torsion bar up front? If so, where is the best place to get add a leafs and how do I twist the torsion bar? Any other thoughts in general for the lift, etc, I'm open to ideas?!

Thanks!
:)

Yeah do the torsion twist up front. You could as an alternative get shackles for the rear instead of add-a-leaves. They are easier to install and lift the rear about 1.5-2.0 inches. You can get them from Here.

Add a leaf or shackles?

Hey Joey, I was debating between shackles or add a leaf because I would think the leaf would give the extra support as well as lift the back end. What do you think?

Also, how do you go about twisting the torsion bars exactly? Is this bad for the front end?

Thanks!
Joe

I actually have the AAL and the shackles in the rear because I did not get enough height out of the AAL. If you do the AAl or the shackles they should provide you the same amount of lift with either. The shackles will ride better than the AAl. As far as the torsion twist, I have no idea because my front end is different. Their is a thread explaining how to do this. Search for torsion twist and you should find this.

Here is everything you need to know. Dont go over 2" in the front, it can cause your CV's to wear faster.

Is there a reason why the Explorer WAR153 are the most expensive? Followed by the Cherokee.
