- 1999 Explorer 4 L SOHC V6
Greetings to everyone from sunny Sedona, Arizona. I have a 1990 Explorer V6 SOHC Eddie Bauer. It's white and looks brand new. The best color for this sunny and high altitude. My first car was a 1953 Studebaker 2 door hardtop with a stick V-8. It didn't take me long to put in a 1959 300 HP Buick with a 1936 Packard 3 speed with overdrive transmission. The car came with 4.55 rear differential and the front end came up 2 inches with the Buick engine being much lighter. I put a 1958 Studebaker Hawk dash with the blower gauge and tachometer, brakes and steering that just dropped in or on.. Then black tuck and role. The car came with 1956 Hawk fins and deck lid and a shaved hood. 3200 pounds for 10.67 pounds per each horsepower. It beat everything but Corvette's.
Now I just want to keep my 99 Explorer running like new which I bought in 2007. A little easier on my butt and neck. Looking forward to getting good advice when in need which I appreciate.
