Hey guys I'm sorry if theres already a thread for this but I have a few questions. First off I got a PO174 code and I'm wonder what I should do? Replace O2 sensors on the bank #2 or if it would be a bad upper Intake gasket or what?? I also have a noise up front in the suspension I believe like every once in awhile on a good bump wondering if its comon for like a ball joint or shock to go out PLEASE HELP!!! Also had problems with the top transmission line leaking goin into the trans, Im about to undo it and put a high temp locker/sealer on it and tighten it back up, i believe im goin to have to pull the trans dipstick to even have enough clearance to loosen and tighten it!

nestang,

i hope you know what 0174 means?
if you dont, its a basic "running lean" condition. doesnt really tell you much, unfourtunately.

some solutions are cleaning the MAF, checking your o2 sensors, and vaccum leaks.

this was what was the problem on my '02 ST.

hope this helps!

hahaha yeah I know what it all means, just trying to narrow it to the common things, MAF is clean, gotta check o2 sensors, checked vacuum lines didnt find anything need to run a test to make sure. Just wondering what some of the more common deals are, its lean bank 2 according to the o2 only one bank for one which basically makes it impossible for it to be a MAF etc because it runs both sides the engine not just the Bank2 or 1 Ive read plenty on the subject just lookin for some people who been there and know what the hell there doing, thanks

hmm... you have a point.... mine triggered both banks, not just one.
checked your plugs and injectors? just throwing ideas out there.

havent checked the plugs but had a shop do em awhile back, could be there but I think that would have a more rich mixture there if there was a problem, Havent checked the fuel injectors but have ran plenty cleaners through, I wanna go threw and check each one with a dvom and see If I can find any problems there, IVe also read people having problems with the Intake gasket rings causing the same problem with only one bank. This is why im a fabricator and not a tech. I cant stand the dumb diagnoising and fixing it is alright if you know whats the problem most the time, but fixing peoples broken **** is not my type of thing lol but I do what I gotta there to keep up a couple daily drivers, My mustang is currently down since last night after some guy decided to pass me on the right as I was turning right on a 2 lane main street and he was haulin ass way over 25mph:mad: So sad theres about $1700 in just parts + theres gonna be labor and paint on top that but im gonna do all the work except paint
