I am in need of a radiator for my 02 explorer 4.0. I saw couple rad on ebay for 69.00 new. Made in china but they say to oem specs. My quest is do you think they're reliable. I have a small leak at the bottom of my original rad 150.000 miles.

I would take it out and fix it myself if its a small leak, but if it has bigger holes i take it down to a local radiator place. I havent buy any rad from ebay, i normally just get it from local parts store, they have better warranty, not sure about ebay

I was thinking the same. Maybe I'll shop around for a radiator shop that will patch up small holes.

With 10 years and 150 k in mileage on your original radiator, you might be better off buying a new radiator, rather than pay a rad shop to fix leaks in an old one. I would think you could get a new, American made radiator in the $200 range, give or take, that comes with a lifetime replacement warranty. I haven't priced Explorer radiators, just guessing on the price range.

I bought a radiator from ebay couple of years ago for a windstar and ended up shipping it back and ordering from rock auto because the ebay one had bent fins and looked like someone dropped it before sending it too me. i would check with someone local or try rock auto they have good prices and quick shipping with a variety of products. and if im not mistaken they are an EF vendor so you could get a discount.

I agree with Exproblems. If you put lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig.

There you go. A picture is worth a thousand words. :p:

LMAO! That pic reminds me of some of my drunken, 4am last call bar dates back in the day. The things one will do when you are desperate and drunk at 4am. Nice touch on the sun glasses and pearl necklace! :D
