Explorer....RIP

Got rear-ended on Friday, which pushed me into another car. I didn't think the damage was too bad, but my insurance co. called me today...said the car is a total loss Over $18,000 in damage, I couldn't believe it! Not sure what to do next

Wow that really sucks. But thanks for the pics, iv always wonder how my Ex would handle a bad re ending. looks like it did pretty well. But yea sucks when its another SUV or truck in front. if it would have been a car there would have been way less damage on your front end.

I got hit so hard it knocked the spare tire right off. I'm actually looking at an '09 Limited with the 4.6, 42,000 miles and nav for about $23,000.

I can't decide if I want to stick with another Ex, or go for an Acura TL-S 6-speed.

So I just talked to my insurance co. again, they said the buy-back value was $3,800. What do you guys think? Do you think I could get that back (or more) in parts?

rims and tires, mirrors, tail lights, full interior, running boards? i don't think you'd get 3800 worth of parts
