I have a 2014 XLT with 20" wheels (low profile tires) and I just started noticing a clunking sound in the front end over bumps. Even minor changes in the road surface will produce a rattling or clunking sound on both sides of the front end. My Grand Cherokee made similar noises and I was able to fix it by replacing the stabilizer bar links, so I am hoping it will work with the Ford too. Does anyone have any opinions on how to verify this is the problem? I tried moving the link by hand but it seems tight. The bushings look pretty wimpy and 62k miles. No grease fitting on the stock links either. The Moogs have grease fitting.
Thanks.

UPDATE: I finally had a chance to replace the stabilizer bar links on the Explorer. The driver side bottom mount was "loosey goosey" so I think that was the culprit. The Moog links improved the handling and I can now keep them greased properly. My rattle and bump noise has gone away. Took me about 20 minutes per side.

2015 here and just had dealer fix loose links also. lol hey said they are just coming loose.
