There seems to be alot of knowledgable people in here so i hope i can get an answer to this problem. The explorer stalls every now and then on start up ( warmed up and cold ) usually after 3 to 5 times it starts and there seems to be no problem. I just bought it a week ago. Cold being a Canadian -20 C. Here i thought i was getting a good deal trading in the sled dogs for the explorer ..... i donts recall them ever stalling on me after only one week. Thanks Guys

Try cleaning the Mass Air Flow Sensor, check the threads on doing it, just a matter of spraying some carb cleaner on the sensor, then reset your computer by disconnecting your battery, and also change your fuel filter. By the way, dog food is cheaper than gas.....

You can use carb cleaner on them, just spray them down and let them dry out. Also, with the stalling you can try to check your vacuum lines going in to the "octopus" on the intake case. If you don't have a line capped or one of the lines is blown you would stall.
