Gentlemen,

I've just completed gutting my interior from my 99 Ranger Super Cab. I had previously picked up a set of powered leather explorer seats from a 1997 explorer from the junk yard. I had read that they will fit without a problem, and they do, however I've run into one problem.

I was trying to migrate the seat belts from my ranger seats to the explorer seats but it appears the explorer uses different belts? There also seems to be an extra "rail" on these seats that are not on my old ranger ones (It's the black metal rail on the explorer seat.) I have also included a picture of the seatbelt I am trying to attach. Any idea on what that rail is used for? Also any ideas on how to migrate seat belts?

Thanks for the help!

That does not look like an Explorer seat. The seatbelt latch should be mounted like Sections. I have a '97 and they are in the same place as his.

Yeah on both my 97 and my GF's 95, the seat belt is in the same place as Section's pic

BTW wear shoes, you'll be missing a toe if a seat falls on your feet hahaha

That doesn't look like any Explorer seat I've ever seen.
