Explorer vs Escape values

I just bought a 2003 Ford Escape for my daughter. I notice that the resale value of the 2001-2003 Escape is higher than the Explorer (at least in my area)

Anyone else find the same?

What is a 2003 escape worth where u are? Cause here in alberta my 2004 XLT full load is only worth $6-7k and it only has 90 000 km's on it..

They seem to be lower than the Ex here in Michigan, which seems right- they're smaller and a little more "spartan" than the Ex...
