This will be king of all race encounters unless someone has had a similar one, hehehe :chug:

Oooh baby did I have a run in tonight. About 20 min. ago I was comming back from a friends house when I saw a Ferrari comming out of a gas station. I'm at the next light stopped when I hear this wicked roar comming up, sure enough it was a red Ferrari F-50. This thing was the meanest sounding car I have ever heard. So you know what I do to get the guys attention, hehe, I drop down into neutral and let the Flowmasters roar (more like a kitten compared to his) He looked over and smiled and reved the **** outta his car, ohh myyy godd, you have no idea how this thing sounded. He was mad cool, he looked to be about 60 and of course he had the younger girl w/ him she was probably around 40. I've heard Ferrari's with a Tubi exhaust, but this one killed them all, forget loud, this was sick. I asked him if he had done anything to it, and he said he had some turbo work done and a custom exhaust (obviously). At idle at the light I could feel the purrs from his engine vibrating on my truck. I gave it one more rev and he did a few more before the light changed, I floored it and got got my ass wiped clean (not that I even stood a fraction of a chance), his car took off like a rocket w/ barely any wheel spin. This is how loud it was, he was all the way ahead of me and I could hear his wastegate and I could barely hear my exhaust on my truck, he got to the next light about 20 seconds:eek: before I did. Pulled up next to him again and told him he had one hell of a sick car. He said thankyou, and told me I had a nice truck (now mind you this guy is driving a $500,000 car and I'm in my 94' Ex.) and he said he also had a new Mountaineer and loved it. When the light turned green again I floored it but he started of normal, that is until I reached about 35mph and heard his engine rev and fly, I mean seriously haul ass by me, he easily went by me at over 70 and the wind/suction or whatever when he went by me actually pulled my truck to the right (like if you when you are at a light and a car goes by you and you feel your car move a little). I could barely make out his lights ahead of me and I could still here his engine but I got stuck at the next light and he was well ahead. Incredible!!!!

This was like a once in a life-time chance, how many people get to pull up to a Ferrari and race them, let alone a very rare Ferrari like the F-50. That was the first one I have ever seen on the street. What I really liked was how cool this guy was, not ****y or anything, hell he even said I had a nice truck. But what really got me was this guy knew how to drive, I mean how many older guys or anybody do you see diving fast cars like vettes and what not that are usually having a mid-life crisis and know how to drive them. But heres this guy that was actually driving an exotic $500,000 car when probably every other F-50 is in a collection or collecting dust in a garage. And the fact that he actually had work done to the car was amazing, have you ever heard of someone buying any Ferrari or really any exotic and modifying them. Any of those cars see what, about 1,000 miles a year of driving:rolleyes: . I just had to get home and post this, I still cannot get over how this thing sounded, and am wondering if he was maybe running strait through cause I could feel the vibrations in my truck at idle so you can't even imagine what it was like to hear when he opened her up. I give that guy incredible props for knowing how to drive that car:) .

Well, darnit, I guess that leaves me with door #2 then, doesnt it?

The F-50 is the 2nd pic, he had the hard top removed. The 1st one I'm 99% sure (just by looking at the wheels) it's a 512tr it was the last version of the Testarossa before the new models. The car was f'n incredible, and I still can't believe the sound. One of my neighbors, 4 houses down, has a 360 Modena and an 1980 308, he has a Tubi exhaust on the 360 Modena and it screams at redline, but this
F-50 was about 5 times louder than his, and if you've heard a Ferrari with a Tubi exhaust you know it's damn loud. My friend whose house I was leaving when this happened has a Cobra w/ headers, x-pipe, magnaflow Magnapacks and some other stuff and it is still not as loud as this Ferrari, and he can set off car alarms when he starts his car. I just couldn't believe how cool the guy was.

Off topic - last week my neighbor told me his last service was almost $30,000:eek:, and I think thats every 15,000 miles on the 308, and people think parts are expensive on our truck:confused: .

Off topic again - as I was writing this I saw a preview for the Jackass movie, now that **** is going to be funny as hell. My grandfather wants to see it, he thought it was the best show ever, when I was at the dorm last year he used to call to tell us to turn it on every sunday haha. And then my sister just came home from a party and one of her friends puked and some of it went in my moms truck, so it's about 2:30am and shes outside cleaning it, hehehehe.:D

jackass movie... oh geeze. jackass is just a take off of CKy movies infact most of the first shows are just clips from the movies. there are already 3 movies out that are just like what this jackass movie will be. they are called: landspeed (CKy), CKY2K, and CKY3 you can get them at most skate shops.

Good story:) I loved the fact that his other car was a Mountaineer!

What a difference in rides that would be

i was working at the vip parking lot at the kruse auction in auburn IN and i parked so many vipers and hummers and exotics and there were a few farariis and lamborginis and there was a fararii with a glass top over the engine and you could see through the galsss and see the engine, what fararii is that?

the ferrari you are thinking of is the 360 modena. i'm not sure if every one has glass over the engine but i know it is an option.

Sweet! I was sitting at a light last week and in the turn lane a few cars back was a late eighties Countache (sp?). When he passed by me at the turn light it sounded sweet! Love those exotic sports cars and their sound. Of course I don't think he really knew how to drive a stick.:D

i saw a yellow hummer h2 a few eeks ago... it isnt as cool as the older hummers, but cooler than its suburban brother

i also saw an old 70's lamborghini marhia(sp) in perfect show car condition that was sweet it was across the loop and i could hear her pering(sp) ive also sat in a maclaren F1

Sure, they're both ferrari's, and hell yeah I'd take either one... That 2nd one seems to have some similar looking lines to an Acura NSX... Or is it just me?

Since we're exchanging exotic stories... I'll give my "Holy 5hit I can't believe what I just saw" story.

I'm out wasting time and driving down York Rd. in Elmhurst (near Elmhurst Ford for those of you familiar with the area) and I drive by a do it yourself car wash and see this car... Silver with Burgundy race stripes... Side Strakes about a foot tall and two big louvres in the hood.

Now I have an idea what it is from reading magazines, as this is the only place I have ever seen this car, but I had to turn around and see if I was right.

So I pull up and the guy is drying the car with the hood up. I ask him if thats a SHELBY?!?! Yup, it was a '9 Shelby Series 1. One of about 500 produced.

It was a thing of beauty. Aurora V8, carbon fiber intake manifold. It was nice to see it out in public. I should have asked him to start it up, but I was so stunned I could barely speak. Very nice car and the guy was nice enough to answer my questions too.

I've seen a red Lambo Countach up here a couple times this summer, mean sounding and even meaner looking!

The thing kinda sticks out in the land of trucks!

You know it's a cool race when you get your butt whooped and you still enjoy your self
:)

I did that once with my old Dodge 50. I pulled up to a light and a Mustang GT pulled up next to me reving his engine, I figured what the hell, light turned green, I dumped my clutch and jumped him off the line, and had him until second gear, my little 2.0L 4 banger just couldn't handle the 5.0. Anyway it was fun even though I got smoked.:smoke:

Thats what I thought was cool, you would have thought he'd have a Range Rover or something instead. But I guess Ford does make the best truck if this guy is comfortable parking a $35,000 truck next to his half-million dollar exotic;) .

You guys would love to come to where I live, I've see every exotic here in good ol' stuck up Boca:confused: , considering there are students at my college that drive Ferrari's thats how crazy it is here. But I have yet to see someone actually know how to drive those cars besides that guy, my neighbor, and a friend of my moms who has a Ruf Porsche (sick car!). It wouldn't have suprised me if he was in a different Ferrari, but the fact that he knew how to drive an F-50 and actually modifyed it was nutz, I bet every other F-50 is somewhere in a collection.

I went over to my neighbors today after the beach and told him what happened last night, and he was shocked also that 1. This guy was actually driving a car that is sought after by every collector knowing it's value will go down and 2. That he knew how to drive it, considering almost everybody else here that has a car like that (or also even Vettes and what-not) just friggen poke around town here, what a waste of any sports car. All I know is I would terrorize every street I'm on if I had a car like that:D . I asked him again about the service on the his 308 and I was close, it's a little over $30,000 every 15,000 miles (where it basically needs a rebuild and other stuff) and that doesn't include the thousands of dollars it needs every couple of thousand miles for a tuneup/service and he drives it alot. His 360 Modena isn't that bad because it's under warrenty but it's his daily driver, and w/ the Tubi exhaust it screams when he guns it, but nowhere close to that F-50. Someone else in here actually has a Lamborghini LM002 and I see them driving it every week and don't want to know what it cost to run that thing, but it looks mean, kinda funny when you here an exotic sound and see an suv(if you want to call it that) commin down my street. So if your thinking it's expensive to service our trucks, be very happy your not shelling out $30,000 for a tuneup;) .

Actually know that I think about it, this would have been the best chance for the Troll to strut it's stuff, that would have been bad-azz!:smoke:
