(to begin with sorry, not near my house so i cant get the pics)

so yeah, i installed my new extended ss brake lines that i needed after i lifted it. they came with straps, to connect them loosely to the spring, to push it away from the spring and still be able to move freely, HOWEVER, here is my problem.

Driver side is fine, doesnt rub anything at all with the way I placed the straps (per instructions). But there was no instructions for the pass side and I did it the same way, well not the rear of the tire will rub the line with i turn the wheel. How can I avoid this, thanks in advance!

Best way is probably to turn the wheel in the direction that's causing the problem, then get under the truck and position the line where it's out of the way, and tie it off that way.

The stock lines have clips that go along the ABS sensor wire, so using those to position the brake line from the caliper to the coil spring tie-off can help keep it in back of the wheel and away from the tire.

Our passenger side brake line is also somewhat close to the tire. I'd say its about 2" away. That is with 33x12.50 on 5x8 rims (3.75 backspacing).

When I install the calipers after doing a brake job I have to spin the calipers the right way so when installed that it pushes the brake line away from the tire. If I spin it the wrong way it will rub.

When I first installed the brake line I twisted the brake line at the top fitting until I had it pulled away from where the tire would go. At that point I tightened up the top fitting.

where can you get these extended brake lines? i have the same lift in the front and cant find any. a link would be helpful.

Earles is the manufacturer (Holley)...

The p/n for the 93-94 X is 28B380ERL

I don't know if thats the front 2 only or all 3 lines (one rear)...

Cool. Thanks mark. About how much longer are these then the stock ones?

I can't say for sure, as I don't have the "kit" from earles... I just go to a local speed shop, buy the lines with the right ends and call it a day..
