For some reason, my 04 x xls has only 1 cigarrette lighter adpator (ac/dc?)
I think it is the only car in the world like this... I took apart the console to and drilled a couple of holes and found 4 plugs, one for the current lighter and 3 unused... I went to the local autoparts store and got one of those lighter adaptors... took the wires of one of those free plugs and ran the red wire to the bottom of the lighter and the black to the side... just like the existing one is.... it looks like there is no power on any of these plugs... I wonder what are they for?
after a couple of days of playing with this, I gave up... does anyone have a write up on how to install an extra lighter adpator?
PS: I also bought one of the dual socket lighter adaptors.... it works great but I want to have a built in one...
