Ok, my X alarm is acting really goofy, last night I was arming the car, usually everyone knows that when you arm your vehicle it chirps once. Well mines chirped a second time after the first chirp. I thought maybe one of the doors must be opened or is not properly shut. When I went to check all the doors, they were shut properly. Now when I went to disarm it from the driver side door keypad, the alarm all of sudden went off. I've never had that experience happen to me before, usually I've always typed in the keypad and my doors unlock without the damn alarm going off on me. What can be done to fix this problem? Can the alarm be reprogrammed? Anyone else has had this experience before? Help :(

Chirps? Factory alarm? My factory alarm, as well as others I have seen, blows the horn, not chirps. Are you sure its a factory alarm?

Well the manual says that it chirps, mines chirps on the first push of the button but when you press it a second time the horn blows. My manual says that if you're uncertain of your vehicle being armed, you can press the lock button on your pad and the horn will blow. HELP ME!

Sorry, I have never heard of a factory alarm chirping, only blowing the horn.

What manual says it chirps?

Oh man...both of y'all are right about the chirping and the horn blowing. It's the same thing. If you press the "LOCK" button twice, the horn will chirp. It's a short honk. What you can do is attempting to reset the system by disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes then put it back in and see what happens.

To me a chirp is what the aftermarket alarms do; the horn is what the Ford alarms do.

Thanks for the idea, and I went to Ford Dealer yesterday and they told me it was an aftermarket alarm that they have installed with the Ford Dealer alarm, like an upgrade or a reconfiguraion of it. But I will do what 96Xeddiebauer suggested. Thanks a million son.
