To remove the factory amp and get to it first of all do I need to remove the entire inside left rear plastic siding. Or is it conveniently located somewhere so it can be removed with minimum piece removal? I guess im still al little confused on where it is?
When I by-passed my amp, put in my new speakers and MTX sub i removed the whole passenger side trim panel. I also removed the rear seats which made it a ton easier! If u have any questions about removing anything, in that area i'm a pro! just give me an email! IAmTodd@hotmail.com
Its pretty easy. First disconnect the "linkage" that connects the seat back to the seat bottom. The nut is the the seat bottom. Next remove the seat bottom. There are 2 bolts for each. Be careful! on mine the one on braket is spring loaded and will snap up. Once those are removed start the seat backs. The seat back is held on by 2 bolts on the outter side. One is a normal nut and the other is a torx(that one holds the seat belt) Remove both! This is the point where its "iffy". You maybe able to lift the loose side and slide it out of the bracket. But if it won't remove the 4 bolts that hold the center bracket and seat belt anchors. At this point i removed the other side of the seat back. Pretty much at this point the seats should be out!
