Factory Audio Specs?

I would like to know if anyone has the factory specs for the Sub and sub-amp in a 1995 Ford Explorer (Eddie Bauer) so it has the JBL system. I want to put in a new sub but I want to see if I can find one that will work with the existing amp. If not, will I have to re-wire the car if I get a new sub-amp?

check Quick Reference for audio forum at the top of the Explorer audio posts. It tells you all about the different stereos in each explorer. As for a sub, it will be hard trying to have it run off the factory amp. It will work, but not real well I have heard. I would buy an amp that has speaker level inputs, so you would splice into the wiring right above the speaker amp and wire those into the amp, then get a good sub of your choice.
