Factory CD Changer w/ Aftermarket HU

Hello all,

I was just wondering if anybody has finally figured out a way to hook up a factory 6-disc CD changer to an aftermarket HU. I'm doing a full stereo installation from the ground up, but the only thing I want to re-use from my stock stereo in my 2001 Explorer is the CD Changer.

Is there a way?

Soundgate(.com) used to make an adapter to hook up the steering controls and cd changer to some brands of head units.

If you're doing a full ground-up install, why tie a 12-year-old CD changer to it that's bound to give up the ghost on day 3 after install just to piss you off? You'll probably spend as much on the harness as you would for a changer and you'll have a new changer that isn't tired out.
