Oh no... Don't tell me there is a problem...
Mine started to dim and fade a couple of days ago. Naturally, my rig is out of warranty by some 3K miles!

Basically, it is random and maybe will simply fade to a barely discernable readout, or maybe will fade out to black all together. Usually, it comes back in a couple of minutes, or may start to fade back only to fade back out.

Any ideas? Besides going to Ford and grabbing the old ankles...

Mine died as the ink dissolved on the warranty. My display is completely black.

Has anyone had theirs repaired? How long? How much?

Thanks...

Most dealers have a contract with certain electronics repair places. You could try and ask them if they'll give you the name of the place. Otherwise, you'll probably end up paying more than a new, aftermarket head unit. Ford may just tell you to get a new head unit anyway, which will probably have a high price. If you need a new OEM head unit to keep integrated functionality, try Site moved they sell OEM parts at discounted prices. A few people on here have had luck with them.
