Not to highjack the thread but do you have an address where we can send our old mags? I posted a thread on this subject. Thanks.

Thanks

The National Guard will be distributing the magazines.

This event is coming up. 9am to 4pm June 25th. Same location as the Webfooters event but we have a lot of changes.

We have an entirely different course for the not-so hard core group. Very challenging wheeling for the 33" tire and under rigs - this course is doubled in length from last year with some new optional lines for the better built.

The Rock Crawl is only PART of that track. We've rebuilt every obstacle from the start, right up to the rock pile and even drastically changed the start of the rock pile. We'll have a LOT more water on the course as well.

The brand new Rock climb obstacle for the buggys or other nuts! We'll be finishing this up next week and have pics for you then. For you guys with buggys lookig for a opportunity to play on an obstacle designed just for you, here it is!

Plus side by side mud bogs. Each mud bog will be VERY different.

This is a non-competitive even and is free to watch or participate.

There is no alcohol allowed. A safety/tech inspection is required ad all vehicles must have a fire extinguisher. All drivers and passengers must wear helmets.

I might just go...depending if there is any graduation party/camping trip planned and what not. would be nice to meet a few of you guys anyway.

edit: just to get an idea. will there really be anything there for a stocker on 31's. might have a 2" lift(coils and aal or shackles) and new shocks on by then, duno tho.

Yep! Our Obstacle Course is perfect. There's a speed section where you can catch some air! You'll get stuck but that's half the fun. I little tug and you keep going. There are line choices that will allow a stocker to get through or challenge a locked rig with 33s. The more difficult places have bypasses.

is one of our sponsors and will have some cool raffle prizes out there! I just picked up some door prizes from Randy's Ring and Pinion as well.

The weather forecast for next weekend in looking FANTASTIC!

For you guys interested in the mud, here's what I found out today. We've talked with www.difficultrail.com about marketing a video from this. They're all for it! We have a guy from our club that's interested in producing the video. Bill from Difficult Trail says that he constantly gets requests for mud videos, but there's not much out there compared to the rock crawling. Even the harder core trail stuff is a lot harder to find than the rock crawling.

SO, we are planning to present a 2 hour DVD to Difficult Trail this summer for them to sell, with exclusive footage from this event, including at least 45 minutes of mud bogging!

If you wanna get in the video, get your mud boggers fired up!

The rest will be from the various obstacles and some on how we built the courses.

We're looking for video contributions as well. If you got some good video footage and would like to contribute, get in touch with me afterwards and we'll have a looksee.

We are also going to be have articles for sure in two online magazines, www.rockcrawler.com and www.moabjeeper.com. We'll also be submitting to www.off-road.com. If you'd like to contribute your favorite pictures for some honorable mention, along with a story about the picture, we'd love to get it. We're going to post all these on our website write-ups as well.

"We have a special connection at Miles, and they are bringing out a few loads of super special mud pit sauce on friday, secret recipe, so I can't go into details, but I will say that their 6 wheel drive offroad trucks with six foot tires can't go through it. "

Guess what we're putting right at the end of the mud bog :?: :?:

seeing that im not going to be able to make it, if anyone down there see's some stocker explorer's lookin to get some lift and or 31" tires, POINT THEM MY WAY PLEASE! :D . got a 2" lift kit, coils and aal's + shocks, all brand new! and some 31" mud's with 2000ish miles, mounted on 15x8 rock crawlers...so yeah...just point them to the forums and look for me! or get their number and hook me up.

other than that, i hope to see alot of pictures sunday from the event!

How did it go? Where's all the pics???

Quote MattB "
we towed the red explorer(noved87) to the fred meyers on hwy 7 after the event. we would have helped him fix it to get home but he had help coming. he split a hose from the clutch master to the clutch slave and it was hasta-la-byebye clutch. and yes, i would say he learned something--especially since mom and dad didn't know he was competing, he said he was going to *watch*

There is a slew of pictures from the event that have been posted up on the S.N.O.R.T. board.

I imagine gibby posted them all on the faithwheelers site as well, but ya know I lurk in the darker corners of the local 4x4 world. Ignore the drama in the first page and keep scrolling for all the pics.
