2017 Explorer. When it’s running, there is a noise that is constant. It sounds like a white noise machine. Everything can be off but the noise is there. It’s not audible if radio is on, but it does not go off or away.

Welcome to the Forum.
The noise you hear might be the small fan that runs to detect the cabin temperature. It is behind the small grille in your dash.

Please do not create duplicate threads on the same issue. Noise 2017

Check to see of your "Rear" HVAC system is on. It has its own fan.

Anyone know if that fan is sleeve or ball bearing? I never hear mine, so if I were to start to hear it, I'd wonder if the bearing is wearing out and if sleeve bearing, might be time to pull it and add a little oil.

Any update or comments on the replies to your issue? :dunno:

Looks like the OP may have abandoned the thread.

I've noticed the same kind of "fan" noise when I've activated the cooling feature in my front seats. It almost sounds like it's behind you, and, it goes away when you turn off the feature. Always thought it was normal...

I think what you're hearing is normal, Bob. That fan can be heard if circumstances are right.

Yep, I agree, Peter!
