Fan Speed issue

Hello, so my 02 explorer fan speed only works on 4 which as you guys probably know is loud. Speed 3 2 and 1 do not work. Any ideas on how to fix this? Appreciate it in advance.

Sounds like it is the blower motor resistor. It should be behind the glove box (It was on mine anyway). Mine only worked on speeds 1,3 &4. Was an fix but kinda PITA to get in there as there isn't much room.

mine was the fan switch dail. the thing the knob pushs into. had to take out the center panel and a few bolts. no big deal.

mine only worked on high.

I agree with jakedrew. My fan only worked on 1,2,4. On his recommendation, I replaced the fan selector switch and it works perfectly. I got the radio bezel with all attachments on eBay for 14 bucks. I got everything in the radio bezel with the exception of the radio. The black arrow points to the switch that I replaced.
