- 2001 Explorer Sport Trac
I have a 2001 Job 1 Sport Trac. I have had it for about 8 months and just noticed this week that the fan stays on a split second after the key has been removed. Has anyone seen this before?
I'll double-check -- I'm not sure whether the fan is still powered after the key is completely out or just as long as the key is in contact with the ignition.
Can I spray any cleaner or lubricant in the ignition cylinder? The fan staying on for a second is not a problem but I wonder if this is a sign that the ignition switch may start to fail in a more significant way.
