Fender Flares

How high up on the rear fender would a set of fender flares go? I have some rust bubbles right on the edge and am thinking about sanding them down, primering and then sticking some fender flares on. I want to make sure the flares will cover over the primer spot. Any help is appreciated.

they came in at least two sizes.
Mine are approxamately three and a half inches lip to lip.

Thanks for the reply. Are those stock flares? Where could I procure a set of those? What is the other size? I think those would definitely cover up the small rust spot after it is sanded and primed. Let me know.

they are 100% factory stock.
you can get them from Ford or a junk yard.
Beyond that there is a smaller size.
maybe two inches ???

Monmix...what did you cover up the holes with when you removed your roof rack? Just wondering.

I left the rubber strips on and just put the screws back in the holes for the rails.
