I bought an '02 Explorer XLT 4x4 from a dealership in Feb '06 for $10,000. In April, I took it into the shop because my check engine light was on and my car was jerking really bad when I was accelerating at all speeds, even when slowing down. So, from what they told me, I had to have the following done:
Valve Body Replaced
Oil Sending Unit Replaced
Upper Intake Manifold Gasket and Timing Chain Tensioner Kit
This all added up to $2,000. So much for the extra warranty I purchased, which only covered about $700 of it.
Now, it's almost a year later and my car is starting to jerk again. What in the heck is going on? My truck does have 128,000 miles on it. Is my transmission going or something? I'm clueless, so I need some assistance.
Also, I did a search, but couldn't find the answer to this question..my husband has a 2002 Ranger with P265/75R16 tires on it. Could I put those tires on my 2000 Explorer without anything rubbing when I turn?
PLEASE HELP!!!
Thanks!
