Few issues/questions help

Ok so ijus bought a 96 explorer v8 awd with 187xxx miles, been sitting for about a year and when I fired it up the door locks kept engaging on their own...idk what could be the problem...also will 302 stang parts fit the motor?

I cut the harness on mine so no more power locks it would lock unlock alarm would sound I said to hell w it and just cut and taped

autolock?

According to my 2000 Owner's Guide:

Autolock is a feature that will automatically lock all doors when:
1. All vehicle doors, liftgate and liftgate window are fully closed
2. Ignition key is On
3. Trans is in R or passes thru R
4. Brake pedal released

It can be deactivated if the vehicle is equipped with keyless entry.
