finding transmission parts

well i got my a4ld out today and got it tore down my valve body is toast it is all scored real bad inside and one of the valves is completely stuck in place it will never move again...but my major problem is i have a broken intermediate shaft i have looked everywhere to try and find one and i cannot i called a few junkyards and they won't sell me anything but the whole tranny i even checked fleabay but none there does anyone know where i can get one from? i guess this weekend i will go to pull a part and get a valve body man that thing had black goo all in it..it wasn't pretty...the weird thing is that the bands look brand new...odd too see that after 190k miles..thanks all!!!

Maybe the servos are dried out, and it never applied sufficient pressure against the clutch pack drums to cause the bands to wear out? Did you check WWW.TransmissionPartsUSA.Com?

i ordered a ssc from them... it was good, and got here fast

yes i tried that site i couldn't find any shafts at all for a a4ld there any other ideas?

still no luck there they got input shafts but no intermediate shaft... thanks for looking tho

well i found a tranny shop in my area that will sell me the shaft they want 50 bucks for it so i have decided to go to pull-a-part and get a whole tranny for 40 (LOL) but i have to pull it so i am going tomorrow to pull it they open at 8 and close at 5:30 everyone wish me luck since i am going to be pulling it solo!! i hope i can get it out before they close.....we will see
