Oh come on Ford, give me a break here.... two months without my EX because of the "steering rack failure", got it back a week ago, and now this ????
Just got a call from the dealership, and they said the "throttle body" needs to be replaced under warranty... are you kidding me ?

Well, I was driving yesterday night on the freeway, and suddenly I lost throttle response, and got a message on the display, "check your manual" and a little "wrench" next to that message
That was it !!!

The engine was still running, and all the electronics also, just the throttle stopped working, the RPM's went to the idling position while the car was still moving... so I pulled over and the engine had a weird sound, like if it was misfiring.

After I stopped, with the engine still running, I tried reving the engine on "parking" but nothing happened.
Turned the car off, and then back on... and everything went to normal.
I still dont know what happened, I checked the manual, but theres no information regarding something like this.

The only thing that I can think of, is that ive been using "premium" gas since I bought the car, and earlier that night I used the "regular" unleaded gas... could that be the problem ??? any ideas ??? the car has been performing well today.

I doubt that using premium gas would have anything to do with the problem. Having said that, using premium is a complete waste of money unless you have the EcoBoost. The Ex is designed to run on regular 87 octane.
The throttle is controlled electronically if I'm not mistaken so it seems that you may have had a 'glitch' in the system and that was reset by restarting the vehicle. It likely also reset any codes that may have been stored but only your dealer can determine that. I don't suppose you ran a vehicle health report before shutting the Ex down?
