First Thread... Need Opinions!

Hey everyone... This is my first thread and i just wanted to ask for some opinions on what to do to my explorer. Lookin to add quite a few mods from performance to interior and exterier... What should i do/add? I have an 03 Explorer Eddie Bauer 4x4. Thanks!

Well thats a bit of a loaded question.. and it also really depends on what you want to use it for.. for instance, if you're going to take it off road, i'd suggest some more aggressive tires, but if you're driving on the street, i wouldn't since they'll reduce your gas mileage and add road noise

everybody has their opinions.. what is your goal? also what engine do you have

Welcome! x2 on narrowing down what you want out of your truck; offroader, street truck, or a milage monster, ect. Also what engine you have will help us out as well. You might want to look through some of the photo albums and get and idea of what others have done.

Well i have one strictly off roadin vehicle already and this explorer would be more of a daily driver. Its in pristine condition and has the 4.0 in it. Thought about tintin the windows quite a bit darker and possibly some performance mods as well. but not sure exactly what.

Definitely wouldnt mind performance mods for hp and mpg. As well as maybe a performance exhaust and what headlights as far as hid to put on there. This will be more of a street truck than an off roader for sure.

For the headlights, I personally like the halos. Other mods: performance exhaust, intake, headers, lower it a little, street wheels/tires....

Some of the best performance mods are an eletric fan, tuner, underdrive pullies, performance muffler, and a cold air intake. Adds power and increases mpg. You might also want to consider switching all of your fluid to synthetic which will help gain mpg.

also, I don't want to sound like a complete idiot, but what exactly are the underdrive pullies? I've heard them talked about on here but I don't really know what they are/do.

Thanks, and what's wrong with halo's? I don't care if it's not your mason jar of tea, but I kind of like the way they look. I don't like the HIDs because they are too bright and the projectors are too expensive, or maybe I'm just too cheap!

outside of my halo's not being my mason jar, they are VERY ricer, i don't like to see explorers riced out, plus most people who buy halo's buy the cheep-o off of ebay that sometimes don't right or burn out quickly or other thing to expect from made in china junk

oh, I see your point, now, and I somewhat agree. BTW, do you have any pics of your truck with the camo trim? I have been thinking about getting mine painted by war eagle boats.

I have been on this website for like 6 hours reading so much into what you have all done but I don't know what I should do to mine and what would look good and perform the best! I am a sales merchandiser so I am driving a lot and on roads, I have a '00 Ex XLS ..... Here's a picture of the outside! The inside is clean and looks really good, I have taken care of it for a long time and for a kid to buy his first Explorer and keep it for this long and take care of it, it deserves a pat on the back haha

I also installed the new Kenwood DNX6160 Double Din - iPod/Video/XM/Navi/Bluetooth inside and it looks really sharp!! I can post a pic if you would like me too. I am open to hear whatever suggestions you can think of and THANK YOU!
