Hello, all!

Your entire forum has been much help to me! I am taking the civilian explorer and basically making it a Ford Interceptor Utility, so several threads have came in handy

However, something is "off with my 2-day old 2015 Explorer XLT.

We'll, when I put it in reverse, a message pops up on my HUD saying "Rear Park Assist then ON and OFF. Of course, I select on.

But it will not beep at all!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! And I have just upgraded the SYNC software, it did not beep with the old one either.

Welcome to the Forum Jay.
The only HUD on the Explorer is the red flashing lights that show up on the windshield when the Collision Warning goes off. I seem to recall that a note came up in the left Information Display that referred to the rear sensors being on when the vehicle was put in reverse on my previous vehicles but it does not seem to appear on my 2017. Have you gone into the Driver Assist settings in the left display to ensure that it is set to ENABLE? It actually should be set that way by default. If it is enabled, then perhaps you have a problem with the system. Did you purchase the XLT from a dealer? Was it warrantied or is still under the factory warranty?

Does that message always pop-up when you reverese?
Try pulling the negative battery cable and see if the message persists.
