I'm rebuilding a 95XLT that was hit in the front. Both frame rails were bent just in front of the engine at the cross member. My question is what is the best way to go about straightening them. I can use a chain hoist and slowly pull them back in line but should I do it with the frame cold or should I use a torch and heat up the frame rails at the point they are bent at? My goal is to get them back close enough that i can get the front bumper to line up again. Since there is some adjustment in the bumper mounts I know it doesn't have to be perfect.

I would just get another frame as the truck will never drive strait again. If your going to use it offroad that is a whole different story.

It drives straight as the only damage is in front of the front cross member. Not worth getting a new frame when the damage is relatively small.

no safe proper way to do this.
