wife complained that the turn signals are acting weird, it would flash and then stop. Sometimes it will not just flash at all. I thought maybe the multi function switch but it was just replaced 3 years ago, I don't want to waste a good one by ordering online. I researched and seems that the flasher is a common issue. Replaced that from a part in NAPA and all is well. Replacing it is not as easy as others claimed, if you have big hands and long arms then reaching that flasher below the steering wheel and over the fuse box is a challenge, I have to work by feel not seeing the relay and use a screwdriver to help pull it out. Worst is it took me an hour to put it back in place since I'm replacing it blindly. Anyway the flasher is back and wife is returning my jeep back :)

unfortunately it's the motocrap one..

only the cheapest chinese parts...

You have that backwards. The blue Motorcraft one is the good one. The black Chinese ones are usually electronic ones that do not signal bulb failure via a fast flash (which may be required in some states for safety).

there are models sold in other stores that were designed for both LED and incandescent to prevent hyperflash (LED consumes less current which is almost equivalent to an open circuit in the flasher), this model from NAPA is designed only for incandescent. The only drawback I noticed is the click volume (not that loud compared to OEM)

@TechGuru

In some states, cops use a "fast flash" as probable cause to pull you over. Then, they claim you might have a bulb burned out. Old flashers were made to flash quicker with a changed load, to alert the driver to a bulb out. Owners manuals had that fact in them. The cops just enlarged upon opportunity. imp
