Flashers and Turn Signal come on at the same time ** FIXED **

(1995 Ex XLT) My flashers come on when I turn my turn signal on. I have checked and all the bulbs are working, this just started to happen today. Any clue why this happening and how to fix it?

probably the multi-function switch/stalk.. Easy replacement job and pretty cheap.

Would this apply even though my switch for the flashers is on top of the steering column?

I just found the answer to my question. My rottie, who is still just a pup, chewed off the end for the trailor wiring harness, shorting the connection for the turn signals. In the process of fixing it now.

FYI the stalk and the flasher switch are one piece.
