Nope. its just sucks.

It sucks plus try using it on dirt road. :frustrate You will use all the curse words ever said.

No... It doesn't just suck. It REALLY sucks! I feel your pain. Try doing it in sleet, in the mud, it's fun!

atleast it didnt fall off the jack on you. my explorer used to fall off the stock jack every time i used it, but only when there wasnt a tire on it to catch it. it seemed like every time i took off a tire id turn around to grab something and THUMP! the explorer is sitting on the axle again.

Atleast your not the only one who experienced that before. I hate when that happens.. It happened to me last Christmas. Since then I've put floor jacks or a bottle jack in every vehicle.

im definately getting a new jack, one with a damn lever lol...but i did get new 31" BFG All Terrains out of the deal...so it's all good:)

For all those old enough too remember. Bumper jacks!! Easy to hook up, easy to use. I have not seen a decent jack in years. I did use the sissor jack in my 04. I was not all that bad, but not all that great; I have had worse. I helped a friend the other morning with a 2003 Isuzu Rodeo. His has a bottle jack. Has to go under the axle. It was a total pain. The rod to turn it up, was amost not long enough too turn it up.

I remember those old jacks.. We had one in my parents station wagon back in the 70s.. They kind of resembled high lift jacks..

i have carried a 2 ton floor jack and a good four way, since 97, with my old ranger and it has been every one of my car since, i have seen poeple try to jack up EX's with a bottle jack and it would not fit under the axle.

bottle jack also wont lift a lifted x high enough usualy

Some of the bottle jacks can lift an Explorer high enough. I have a 8 ton jack that can easily raise my Explorer up high enough to change my tire. Its about 10" high but it has an overall height at full lift of over 18"

I would assume, if you used a bottle jack on an Explorer, you would jack it under the frame like with the stock sissor jack. Every vehicle has it's own jack points. Mine shows the frame.
