Ok... I've flushed the cooling systems on my 91 Sport, my 94 XLT and bunches of other vehicles but I have wild fluctuating temp gauge and I'm paranoid cause it's been 2 degrees at night..
I've seen this after a flush and refill when air is present but have not touched the system since buying it last July. Decided to take out thermostat, flush system, replace thermostat and replace temp gauge sending unit and refill and purge system with new anti freeze....
But....
I have a vacuum actuated valve in the heater core supply lines that looks like it varies the temp mix to the core as required by climate control settings...
My crappy Haynes manual has no info on climate control system...
Should I hold solenoid piston in "UP" position for full open or "DOWN" position for full open while flushing?
As always, any info greatly appreciated and stay warm ya'll!
