I'm a first-time explorer owner . getting to know and enjoy my 94 limited. i don't mean to sound dumb but whereis the fuse for the fog lamp curcuit? owners manual says it's located in high voltage box under the hood.

First, congrats on the X and welcome to the board. The older X's have two fuse boxes (I don't know about the '95's and above) One is under the dash by the E-brake release and there is another one under the hood. I believe it is on the passanger side. Not sure but you can't miss it. It has a black cover. Hope this helps.

fog lamps

thanx for reply P.V. , the high voltage box under the hood is supposed to have it there according to the manual , but no such luck. also all fuses are good inside as well . when i adopted the x , both fog lamps were busted out . the curcuit more than likely shorted out. there is no power to the lamps or to the switch. ?

Open the power distribution box, located under the hood and on the passenger side. Look at the label on the underside of the lid or page 309 of the manual and it is fuse #15. The manual has it as an open space and so does the power box. Mine is a 20amp fuse.
