How exactly do you aim the KC highlights mine seem to be aimed towards the ground an not outward

i would relay them to the fog light switch and i think the is a tab u remove from the fog light relay that lets them stay on with high beams

Where is the fog light relay ?

not sure on a sport trac i have a 98 explorer it is in a small fuse/relay box under the hood down beside the air box

Excellent Ty,

Hmm after lurking around on the internet i found that it is illegal in PA to have fogs / highbeams on.. I am going to have to see if i can find if that is actually true before i go trying to change it

Well i just found the PA inspection laws

These lamps shall be wired through a
double throw switch so that both sets
of lights will not operate at same time

So that is a bust, guess i will wire the KC's on there own switch so i could turn them on with highbeams if i needed too

Wire them in with your fog lights and then mod your fog light relay. It will keep your fogs on even if your high beams are on. To the left of the motor you should see a box of relays. I can't remember the number for the fogs but it will be in your manual. Pull it out and break off one of the tabs on the side with three on it. You'll want to break one of the end ones, not the middle one.

Where at in Pa. are you? I'm in Pittsburgh. There's plenty of write-ups on hiw to do the high beam/foglight mod, in Pa. you can only have one set of fog/driving lights on with you low or high beams on. Nothing above the hood (fog/driving lights) can be on while driving on roadways except for plow trucks.

I am in Hanover

So it is legal to have the fog come on when high beams are on an it will pass inspection ?

Yep, all shops are different depending on how much of a dick the person doing the inspection is. If they went buy the "law then there wouldn't be any vehicles pass Pa. inspection. From the Penn D.O.T. Law, "Anything other then factory O.E.M. parts will disqualify a vehicle from passing Pa. state safety inspection".

You have a ton of other members out by you.

O yea, ? I never knew there where any other members out this way

Reading these laws makes me glad IN doesn't have inspections :)

Same here in AR.
Thank goodness

I just added a second stock fog light switch

I found the diagram for the fog light pigtail but does:

1) #3 Come right from my offroad lights ?
2) #5 i have tapped into radion illumination
3) #6 the on indicator what do i wire to it ?

#3 goes to the ground to the relay for the fogs
#5 i tapped into the #5 on the other switch
#6 I tapped the output 12v signal to the fogs right off the relay to save wire.

I got this relay 30 went right to the lights an number 6 prong on second fog light switch 85 went to ground 86 went to number 3 prong on the second fog switch an 87 went to power

But the lights stay on is there something i am missing ?

Ok i still cant get this to work lets try to list what i am doing better

Orange an tan goes to ?------I connect it to the wire coming from the lights

Blue an black goes to ?------I connect it to the relay

Red an black goes to?------ I tap into the red an black on the stock switch

Black is ground which is tapped into the other black from the stock switch

30 on relay is battery power
85 goes to ground
86 i tap the wire from the lights
87 i attach the blue / black wire

Some think this is not working cause there is no 12v to the switch or is the red an black illumination wire supplying the 12v ?

Rep to anyone who finds my flaw here
