So you have 5R55 in a 2002 to 2005 Explorer with a problem shifting.
Check out: Ford Lincoln Mercury Explorer Mountaineer Navigator Servo Bore Fix for a fix that does NOT require removing the transmission.
I bought this kit to fix a future problem but then discovered once the timing chains were replace there still was some noise coming from under the truck, one that only made noise when in a gear.
A Classic Ford torque convertor problem. These 04 Explorers are known for this.
AS my 04 Explorer is a 4Wheel drive it is a major job to R&R the transmission, so I am going to have it rebuilt at the same time.
The shop wants to do the boring and sleeves job to know it is good to go.
So I am offering the kit to anyone that wants it.
I paid $250.00 plus shipping for a deluxe kit with the servos, snap rings (a pair of Special made for ease of replacement) And a company modified needle nose pliers which makes this job easier.
Plus I have printed out the instructions and are in a bound holder for doing the job.
If paid by a money gram I will throw in the shipping within the 48 States of the USA.
So a saving of $30.00.
