Trying to figure out how I can install the radio from an '01 F150 into my 95 Sport. I got the head unit for free, and its a upgrade from my cassette player/radio. Anyways, right now I'm looking at 2 possible problems.

1) The Radio may not be a head unit, but be one of the split head unit types like the later Explorers had. In which case I'm not sure how I'd go about using it. However, since it has a CD player, and from what I understand those headunits were for ones with CD Changers, It might be OK. Plus they're way too slim for a CD to fit inside them.

2) The Radio isn't the same size in the back as mine. My stock radio tapers off to 1 DIN at the back, but starts at 1.5 DIN in the front. Any recommendations on how I can modify the stuff to fit in the larger head unit?

Plug it in. If the wiring harnesses are the same, it should work.

This is what I found out in researching a similar problem. The stereos that taper to 1 DIN in the back do not have integral amplifier. If it is 1.5 DIN from front to back with no taper, the amp is part of the HU.

Is there any way to modify the bracket to fit the larger one? I do know that I have an external amp as part of the Premier Sound Package.

And yeah, I can't just plug it in since I don't have it yet. :P Your dog is really cool looking BTW.
