On the '91s you have to remove the dash to get the HU out. The 92-94s had a different HU that will just slide out without the dash removal. You will need a wire harness and most likely by-pass the factory amp. Most Exploders (even without the factory sub) has an amp. It is located behind the passenger side cargo compartment.

I bought the harness adapters and they didn't work that well so I just ended up splicing everything, plus I ran better speaker wire throughout.

It wasn't too bad,considering I'm not an audio expert either

yeah, but I think I got a bad one, it all plugged up like it should, but never worked. Plus I was already replacing the speaker cable for new speakers.
