Ford Explorer '03 Problem

I Have An Explorer '03 V6 Engine 4.0l Sohc. Overdrive Light Flash Off In The Dash Board. When Press O/d The Light Stay On And The Rpm Goes Up And Down I Keep Pressing. But The Light Stay On. Pls Need A Reponse, Thanks

You need have the vehicle's computer read as a blinking O/D light will store diagnostics codes.

would i be able to get the code my celf with out going to Auto Zone like the ould cars

I think AutoZone will read codes for free.. at least thats what I've heard from other people.

But unless you have a code reader, you wont be able to read the codes yourself.

And I'm not even sure AutoZone's reader will extract the blinking O/D code because I'm not sure if OBD-II covers the O/D.
