Ford Explorer Door Ajar Problem

Hi,

I was in a car accident and now my door ajar light stays on. I am sure it is due to the latch sensor The only way I can turn it off is to pull the fuse which then does not allow me to use my power windows or interior lights. Is there any way to disable this ??? Please Help I am going Nuts

The interior lights will automatically turn off after a certain time period (20 minutes I think). Only other way to fix is to fix/replace the switch on the affected door

...or just cut out the sensor and jump it. It'll no longer work for that dorr, but who cares, I know when my dorr is open or not
