Seems this Lazy Boy recliner decided to jump out the back of a pick up, of course the tail gate was down and slammed into my wife's 2005 Ford Focus.
Well any rate after slamming into it I called my insurance co, after the guy never stopped. They wrote me a check for the damage which also included a new windshield.
I did all work except the windshield.
One of the areas damaged was the front bumper, nothing structurally but it seemed it was repainted once and was not properly done. Would have never noticed it if it was not for hitting the chair. The red paint just flaked off in big chunks. In fact the whole left wrap around side just fell off.
But after looking at it, I actually liked the looks of the somewhat black color better then the black.
Was just going to paint it a flat black. Went to Auto Zone and noticed this paint made just for bumpers, hmm. And since a lot of new bumpers are some kind of plastic, I thought that it might just adhere to the plastic better then regular spray paint.
Actually I like it better then when it was all red. This is the first coat, I'll sand it and apply another coat.
My daughter likes so well she said I ought to do the rear bumper also, Hmm.
