Ford Taurus / Mercury Sable V6 Thermostat

I have a 1996 Mercury Sable with a DOHC V6 3.0L engine that overheated. I cannot find the location of the thermostat.
Does anybody have a picture of the location?

Always follow the upper radiator hose to the thermostat housing.

Sorry, I shoud had posted that I already found it and replace it.

It is NOT where everybody expects to be (top of engine). On the DOHC engine is on the bottom of the engine, lower hose between the block and waterpump, above the front crossmember. Almost invisible...
