Old Bronco 11 owner. Bought an '87 new years ago and found a '87 Eddie Bauer several weeks ago with a blown head gasket. This Bronco is in excellent condition, body and drive train (except blown head gasket). I have replaced the heads and reassembled only to look around and find that I left the retainer clips off the fuel injectors. I do not see the need for these clips. Would I be safe to leave them off or should I go back and put them on??

Welcome to this forum! Everything is there for a reason. The manufacturer won't add things without a reason so you should put them back.
