Found a 99 Ranger will its tranny work in my EX?

Mine is a '99 4.0L OHV 5r55e, same as what listed...Will it work? I ask because I noticed in the posting it doesn't state that it is a direct swap with Ex. Also it is an auto T/c like mine as well.

So from what I can tell - there is no difference in the transmission case, but I am more concerned about transfer case compatability...

Your transfer case will bolt right up to the transmission. And as for the transmission swap it should be a straight swap.
