Four wheel drive?

Hi gang, I need alittle help to I.D. a four wheel drive problem. Front axel not ingaging. All I hear when slipping on the ice is a light grinding in front left hub? I replaced both front hubs 2 months ago.

You don't have a locking hub that can grind. What's grinding is probably either a diff problem, or a busted CV joint on that side. Should be a simple thing to diagnose though... Are you sure the inner CV joint is fully seated in the axle? That's the only spline I can think of that could have come loose....
