I have this hard start problem that I thought was related to the check valve in the Fuel pump by the truck starting better if I turned the key on/off a few times to pressure up the rail.
It appears this is not the problem (I hope anyway). Sometimes this procedure helps and then it does not make any diff. still have to crank the motor 5-7 seconds to start.
When it does start right it starts up like right away.
My question is the FPR, I went out this AM started the truck as usual (hard start) I then pulled the Vacuum hose off the FPR No difference in idle. Is this normal???
Plugged the end of the hose with my finger seemed to idle a little slower and just slightly rougher. (there is plenty of vac at hose end)
Anybody know for sure if this is a good test of the FPR?
Thanks,
Sonny
