Frame swap

Okay guys I know this is a crazy idea but I need some questions answered. I was wondering if I could take the body of my 98 Explorer sport and put it on the frame of either a 98 Expedition/F-150? If this is possible what changes would I have to do to the body or frame to fit?

It's possible, if you're a good welder/fabricator, or you have money to hire one. But if you're hoping it's anything close to easy or bolt on, it's not.

2nd gen explorers are Ranger -based. An F-series / Expedition frame will not even come close to fitting under your Explorer.

wheelbase is gonna be a problem... if you have a 4-door explorer, the wheelbase might match up to one of the shorter f-150 frames, but not the 2-door.

Width will never line up though. you'll need massive fender flares to cover the wheels.

Anything is possible if you throw enough money and time at it.
