Hi guys,
I've been trying to fix my ac for the past couple of days now...just now I added 3 12oz can of free on and nothing...no ac...then I drove it around and heard something like spraying...I popped the hood and stepped on the gas and saw freeon leak out on the left side (driver side) of the engine...

Anyone know what happened?

Sounds like it has a leak.

i believe 3 12oz cans is a bit too much

when you step on the gas the compressor make more pressure. the compressor is the only a/c part on the left (driver's) side of the engine. so that's where your leak is. what's leaking? could be a line, a gasket or a seal on the compressor.

You should be using r134a and not freon. Most cans come with UV dye in there. Buy a dye detector set where you got the cans (UV light and yellow glasses) and look around after it gets dark for the green dye. This could help narrow down the area.

Also get at least a low pressure gauge to put onto the port and measure your psi. This is temp sensitive so make sure you get one with the chart.
