2001 V8 (Eddie Bauer) AWD
2001 V8, AWD. Manual says that front needs "Motorcraft SAE 80W-90 Premium Rear Axle Lubricant".
I want to use instead "Lucas Oil Products Synthetic SAE 75W-90 Transmission and Differential Lube ".
I am thinking will help in colder mornings. Plus I have a "thing" about syntetic oils :)

Has anybody have experience with 75W-90 in front?

LE: I think I found my answer here.

Amsoil, Castrol, Mobil 1, Royal Purple... My store has only 'Mobil 1' 75W90, so that's what I'll get.

Thanks, I ended up adding some 'Mobile 1' 75W-90, needed only 1/2 quart.
I hope it's compatible with the 80W-90 that was in there. I cannot see how to extract what is in there without dropping the front end. The cover is against the front cross member.

BTW, stinky stuff...
