Front Blower

I have a 97 explorere eddie bauer edition. This past weekend everything in the front stopped working. No heat, no air. no defrost, on any setting. When I turn on the read controls air comes through the back but it is cold. I have a digitial display for my settings. Any ideas of what this could be and approx how much it will cost to repair? Or if it is easy enough to do yourself? Thanks in advance!

That's no good. We have some -0 temps coming. You say everything stopped working. Does that include the fan?

Yes. Nothing happens at all when it is turned on. I checked all the fuses and they are all ok as well.

Sounds like it would be either the blower motor or the blower motor resistor. Search this site for info. I had to replace a blower motor once. it wasn't difficult.
